Hi, I’m Katelyn Starr, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, CA. I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, OCD, work-related stress, and life transitions.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their day-to-day lives. They may appear to be doing fine on the outside while internally feeling unfulfilled or unsure what needs to change. My role is to offer a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Where we can slow things down and make sense of what’s going on together.

My approach to therapy is intentional, warm, empathetic, and motivating. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered approaches, tailoring our work to your unique needs, goals, and pace. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, but about creating meaningful, sustainable change.

Outside of the therapy room, I value openness, ongoing learning, and genuine connection. I bring these values into my work and strive to build a therapeutic relationship that feels authentic, respectful, and collaborative.

If you’re considering therapy and wondering whether you and I might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. Finding the right therapist matters. I’m happy to help you explore whether working together feels right.
